Our groundstation was just a tripod with our receivers, antennas and batteries on it.
I just had a small CFK plate with a tripod-nut glued on it and a piece of EPP glued on top of the CFK plate. All the components were just glued/taped on that EPP plate.
Of course it was ugly, but it worked good so far.
A few days ago, Leo and I decided to buy plastic boxes, switches, cables and other stuff to rebuild our “naked” Groundstation.
We only had a drill, a soldering iron and an old dremel to do this, so the result is not 100% precise and perfect, but we are satisfied with the result.
The helical is glued on a mobile phone car mounting which will be replaced against a pan/tilt system later (when the RSSI arduino tracker is working well).
